WHY WE ARE HERE
Persian belongs to no single border, ethnicity, or belief. It is a meeting place — carried through Farsi, Dari, Tajik, and many local voices.

This platform celebrates what we share while respecting what makes each community distinct. We welcome Iranians, Afghans, Tajiks, Hazaras, Persian-speaking Uzbeks, historic communities across the Caucasus and South Asia, and the worldwide diaspora.

    Unity means curiosity and solidarity, never asking anyone to surrender a name, accent or identity.

    Borders expanded, fractured and disappeared. Persian language and culture often crossed those political lines — sometimes through courts and trade, sometimes through migration, conquest or displacement.
    This is a selective overview of major realms and political eras, not a claim that every dynasty was ethnically Persian or ruled the same territory.

    Farsi, Dari and Tajiki are centred in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, with communities elsewhere. Language areas overlap many other languages and identities.

    Empire is not the same as culture.

    Persian imperial marks dynasties rooted in the Iranian plateau that claimed broad sovereignty. Persianate marks realms where Persian language, literature or administration had major influence. Transition marks periods of conquest or changing political orders.
